ROLLER SHADES COMMON QUESTIONS
How do Roller Shades work?
Roller Shades work by rolling and unrolling a single panel of fabric. Depending on the control option you choose, they can be operated with a Continuous Loop chain, a Cordless lift system, or motorization on select styles. Each option is designed to make it easy to adjust the shade to the position that works best for your space.
How do I install Roller Shades?
We provide installation instructions to help you install your Roller Shades at home. For the best fit and appearance, it’s important to follow the measuring and mounting guidelines for your selected product and installation type. If you have questions along the way, our team is here to help.
How do I clean my Roller Shades?
Regular light cleaning is usually all that’s needed to keep Roller Shades looking their best. Use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment on a low setting to remove everyday dust. You can also use a feather duster or a soft, dry cloth for routine dusting. For small spots, gently clean the area with a soft sponge or cloth, warm water, and mild soap, then allow it to air dry. We do not recommend soaking the fabric or submerging the shade in water.
What is the difference between Roller Shades and Solar Shades?
Roller Shades are designed to soften natural light or provide more complete light control, depending on the fabric you choose. Solar Shades are made with performance fabrics that help reduce glare, filter UV rays, and help protect interiors from sun exposure, while still maintaining a more open view to the outside.
What’s the difference between Roller Shades and Roman Shades?
When open, Roller Shades do just what they say — roll up! When closed, they appear as a clean single panel of fabric. Roman Shades combine the beauty of drapery — think luxe fabrics and striking silhouettes — with the functionality of shades. However, when Roman Shades are closed, they create a neat stack.
